2020 Annual Report

vineyard church

We are so grateful for your generosity! The year 2020 seemed destined to change everything, but we’re so grateful for how much did NOT change. Despite being unable to meet in person for most of the year, our giving only dropped 1%! Each of our 2 venues were able to add staff in 2020, and even increase our savings.

Vineyard Church was able to continue supporting massive international missions efforts and several local ministries. The Box (our benevolence ministry) had a great year and was able to respond to many urgent needs in our community, and we raised over $34,000 dollars through Must Have Gifts. There’s so much to celebrate!

Below you will find some of the income totals from ministries within Vineyard Church and a few totals of how your giving was utilized.

2 Unique Venues

Worshiping in multiple venues, allows us to empower new leaders, start new expressions of the Body of Christ, develop a collaborative network of unity and support, and pave the way for future growth.

Each Venue is a distinct, local community with its own leadership, story, and cultural aesthetics. We share vision, core values, missional efforts, best practices, and many resources through a central governance that provides structure, direction, and support. Each venue is encouraged to contextualize and invent, tailoring ministry efforts around their unique congregations and communities.

We maintain a minumum of 3 months operating expenses in reserves at all times, in addition to savings at each of the venues, Missions, and Central Services.

Last year hit many ministries and non-profits hard, but we praise God that our international missions efforts continued to thrive. God continues to be faithful despite global pandemics and other difficulties! We are now connected with five previously unreached people groups in West Africa who are hearing the Gospel of Jesus for the first time. And nearly 10,000 people have also started attending Discover Bible Study gatherings around the region.

The organizations and groups we are partnering with in Haiti continue to grow and flourish. This includes the Freedom House, Access Health Alliance and Medical Clinic directed by our own Abercrombie family, and Simple Church Ministries—a disciple-making movement of 1,000 house churches. In 2020, through budget allocations and additional gifts we supported our missions efforts with:

What's Next?

We encourage you to give generously as the Lord is leading you. The Bible gives us tithing (giving 10% of our income) as a template, and also makes it clear that the Holy Spirit will direct us in how we give. Please prayerfully consider giving to the ministries of Vineyard Church.

If you haven't already, consider setting up a recurring gift, so that you can most easily give consistently as you intend.

I'm in!

We take Christian community seriously! If Vineyard Church is your home, it's a powerful step to acknowledge that.

We encourage people in our church to commit to engaging fully in our community. We revisit these commitments once a year to keep them fresh in our minds. To see this explained more fully, and to have an opportunity to opt in visit...
